Indian Bridal Sarees for a Perfect Wedding

India is one of the very few countries which have a perfect blend of traditionalism and modernity. The big fat Indian weddings are the perfect example of the same. Starting from the decoration, food and clothing, everything accentuates an impeccable mélange of traditional values and contemporary ethos. Indian weddings are all about grandeur and splendor involving a number of ceremonies and functions.

Globalization is happening in every aspect of life and that gives enough opportunity to the wedding planners, and fashion designers to experiment with their creativity and concepts in order to make Indian weddings and the brides look more majestic on the global platform.

Today, designers are coming up with new trends every season. Every piece of wedding sarees and bridal sarees presented on fashion runways are opulent in embellishments and richly hued. Now a day’s women are well travelled across the world and hence are looking for a touch of global fashion in their clothing. This is not just restricted to their casual dressing, but holds true to their bridal dresses as well. A wedding saree with a cross cultural style element makes a bride look distinctive and unique. Such demands from would-be-brides are compelling fashion designers to be more selective their design creations.

Indian fashion designers are creating bridal dresses and wedding dresses which are modern in appearance but are closely rooted to our customs and traditions. This has introduced designs that highlight the fusion of eastern and western fashion styles. Indian saree is considered the most traditional attire and this piece of fabric has undergone a great revolution since the early age. Though the bride opts for new and trendy silhouette as her wedding day attire, other relatives prefer to wear the traditional saree. There are different types of sarees, which are worn by women from different states for wedding occasions. For example, a mother of a bride from West Bengal would wear a Baluchuri or Benarasi silk saree; and a mother from Delhi will prefer wearing an embellished net or georgette saree on her daughter’s wedding. Every piece of saree woven and designed in India is a piece of art and looks beautiful when draped in the right manner and paired with a right kind of accessories and jewelry.

Exquisite embroidery on Indian sarees is the perfect example of skilled craftsmanship. Wedding sarees and bridal sarees demand extra neatness in embroidery and embellishments and this make this attire high on cost and timeless in look. Indian sarees worn particularly in weddings are available in vivid range of shades and hues which make them elegant and charming.

Designers wear bridal dresses are gaining popularity in the global market. The blend of traditional look and modern design pattern has hit the right cord among Indians residing outside India and therefore resulted in the expansion of the bridal wear market across the globe and also add on to the versatility factor of the Indian sarees, lehenga and suit collections.
